lightbox in widgets

    I have images in sidebar widgets that I need to pop up and display like the lightbox images that auto-format to do so in the content. I couldn’t see a way to do this with the theme so I installed a plugin but it competes with your lightboxes in the main content areas. Any ideas what to use for the sidebars?

    Hello,

    You could use a text widget and just use HTML to link to a lightbox. If you checkout your documentation that came in your ThemeForest download package, there is a section about how all of the ligthbox integration works. At the bottom of this section are examples of how to manually setup lightbox images with basic HTML.

    Thanks for this. I did as you suggested – deleted the plugin and added the class=”themeblvd-lightbox” to the image links but the lightbox is not working. Could you take a look?

    Make sure you’re checking out the examples in your docs for linking to different kinds of media. So, in your case, you’re linking to an image, and so you also need the “mfp-image” class. The “themeblvd-lightbox” binds it to Magnific Popup, and then the “mfp-image” class tells it what kind of media you’re linking to.

    <a href="http://yoursite.com/uploads/image.jpg" class="themeblvd-lightbox mfp-image" title="Title Here">
      <img src="http://yoursite.com/uploads/thumbnail.jpg" />
    </a>
