    Hey there,

Client is having issues with IE8 rendering. Thumbnail images appear stretched. Looks fab and no dramas in other browsers I’ve tested. Just IE8.

    REFER HERE: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=14df4w5&s=5

    Thanks so much:)

v1.1.5? You’re sure? This was something that should have been fixed awhile ago. Do you see the same issue on the live demo? Can I see a live link to the issue?

I’m going to move this question to the proper support forum, as you’re using the Alyeska theme, and this question does not deal with the Akita theme.

All right, so it looks like the issue is something exclusive the site you’ve setup. I’m not seeing this anywhere on my end or my demo of the theme. I’m also not seeing it on other pages of your site in IE8. So, it looks like this isn’t anything with a default theme feature, as you’re placing custom HTML markup on your homepage’s custom layout where you’re having the issue.

Is there a reason you’re putting <img /> inside of a header <h2> tags? This is invalid markup, and possibly why things are a little funky in older IE. I’m assuming this was just a mistake. So, let’s start with fixing this and seeing if the issue is resolved.

TBH – the client has done the layout on the home page so not sure what they’ve done? Thanks Jason – I’ll revert back to them. You’re a star. Cheers

It should be a simple thing. In the “columns” element, there are images in h2 tags for some reason like this:

    <h2 style="text-align:center;"><img src="image.jpg" /></h2>

Just remove the h2 tags from around the images. I think maybe they were using that as a sort of hack to center the images? Not sure.
