I would love to change some colors, fonts, etc and it was in the demo theme and child themes. But the STYLES Tab is simply not there. I have Layout, Content and Configuration.

    What can I do?

    Thanks, Dave

    Hello Dave,

Yes, you are correct; Jump Start has no Styles tab, and will never have one. 😉

Here is an outline of all the framework’s default Theme Options: http://dev.themeblvd.com/tutorial/default-framework-options/

I would love to change some colors, fonts, etc

And so It’s time to get to styling in that Child theme. This is where the fun starts.

… and it was in the demo theme and child themes.

I don’t know that I’m quite following what you mean. What was in the demo theme and child themes? Theme Options for styles? — I’m not quite sure what gave you the impression that there would be a Styles tab in Jump Start or where it says anywhere that this exists. The sample Child themes are something you can download to use as starting points for your Child theme, if you like.

But having a “Styles” tab in Jump Start would contradict most of the basic principals behind giving you, the developer, a blank slate to start with the framework. If your specific design or project requires options for you or your client, then you can add them in the Theme Options API:
