How to customize the homepage content area

    What files can I place in the child theme to create a custom content area for the homepage? I want to have a static image and content from 1 post with a photo in the content area. This will be dynamic and draw from one specific category.

    I don’t see any php files dealing directly with the home page.

    Just point me in the right direction.

    Hello Mark,

    The homepage setup from your theme options page is outputted with index.php of the theme. So you can copy that file to your child theme to edit it.
