    Hi,
    I would like to order my posts custom in the order i want them to be in my list. Now the posts are ordered by the date. How can i change this? Is this possible?

    For example, my website http://www.cocktailicious.nl has on the homepage a list of cocktails, but i don’t alsways want to have the newest one there. When the Worldcup is on, the Orange “support the dutchies” cocktail should be on.

    I don’t want to manipulate the date because that’s not good for my google ranking.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello,

    I was playing around with this for you, and I’m honestly not quite sure why Sticky posts don’t work here, as that’s what I was going to suggest. — but I couldn’t get that to work on my end with the mini post list/grid widgets.

    There are probably some different creative things you may be able to do with the custom query. But have you thought about maybe just changing the publish date of the one you want to show at the top?

    When you’re looking at your listings of posts in your WP admin, just click “Quick Edit” on the one you want at the top and adjust the publish date to be the most recent.

    [edit] Oops, sorry just saw your note about the date.

    This would be kind of tedious in my opinion, but you can use the “include” parameter in the widget’s custom query option. So, you’d take whatever post ID’s you want to include in order, and put them in like this:

    include=1,2,3,4,5
