The way the theme works is that if you close the comments on the post through the standard WordPress setting, the comment bubble will go away.
Otherwise, it would be a customization you’d need to make to the theme. Two possible solutions — (1) You could just hide it with CSS. (2) Or you could copy content.php (single posts) and content-list.php (a post in a post list) to your child theme and just remove the HTML markup for the comment bubble.
