Header Fixed

Is it possible to set the header so that it stays in a fixed position, but the content scrolls? We want the logo and menu to always be visible.

Hello Doug,

There is no feature in the theme for this, unfortunately. This is a customization you’ll need to make from your Child theme. You could look at making your own CSS customizations to position the div around the section the header you want, to be positioned fixed. And then you’d have to probably add some padding to the top of the main content to push it down below the header initially and z-index the fixed position header above the content.

For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the overriding edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

If you wanted to make things a little cooler, you could also look into incorporating some sort of jQuery plugin like this one:
