    Hi Jason
I believe I followed the video correctly, but nothing is happing.
In my homepage I only want “Recent News” excerpt posts to appear.
I went into appearance > theme options > content > primary post display > exclude categories and checked all the ones I did not want to show. and it is not working
    What am I doing wrong?

Never mind I needed to change it in the layout builder.
I’m getting it slowly, but my client wanted this yesterday right 🙂

The setting you’re referencing only applies if you have a standard blog setup for your homepage or you’re working with the Post List page template.

On your homepage, you’ve setup a custom layout. So, to edit which categories show there in that layout’s Post List, you’d need to go to that layout in the Layout Builder and edit the categories for that specific Paginated Post List element.

    Make sense?
