MemberI’ve been enjoying this theme and my site is almost ready to go live. However, on the mobile version the right side navigation menu repeats itself twice. I’m a hobby developer (not a pro) but I’ve tried tweaking and fussing with all the menu settings I can find and everything I try either does nothing, or it makes the menu appear once as it should but now it’s white-text-on-white-background so basically invisible (normally I have it set to dark text on light background). I’m puzzled and would be grateful for any help you can give me. Otherwise I really like this theme.

KeymasterHello,
Would you mind providing a link to the site as it is so I can check it out? I’m not quite sure what to make of what you’re trying to describe without actually seeing it, is all. Providing a link is always helpful 🙂

MemberSorry about that. The link is: http://www.cedricstudio.com
I can also send you my WP login if that would help. I just need a way to get that too you privately (i.e. over email?)

KeymasterI don’t think I need a login for this — but if you ever need to send, you can do it here. Just make sure to give me a heads up in whatever topic we’re talking in that you sent info, so I know to check.
So, it looks like you’ve got your current menu assigned to two of the menu locations. You’ve got it assigned to both the “Primary Navigation” and “Primary Side Navigation” locations.
You can manage which menus are assigned all the theme’s locations from Appearance > Menus. You’re not required to assign a menu to every location, if you don’t want. However, you do want to make sure you’re not assigning the same menu to more than one location.

MemberThanks for the fast response!
I don’t really need a side menu, except on mobile when the side menu would, in effect, be the header menu. So I’d really rather not have to create and manage two different menus (one for desktop and one for mobile) if I can help it.
So, I went into Menus > Manage Locations, and turned off the Primary Side Navigation menu. Now, when I look at the site on mobile there is only one menu (the Primary Navigation menu displayed as a side menu). Great! Except….now it is showing up as white text on a white background, so it’s basically invisible unless you click on it. My site is set up to have a white background and dark text. Before when there were two menus they were both dark text over white background, as it should be, so I’m not sure why the menu is now suddenly light instead of dark (and only on mobile). I’ll send you my dashboard login info since I’m guessing that will be the fastest way to resolve this.
Thanks again for all your help!

KeymasterAll right, apologies for this. It was indeed a bug in the theme. When the mobile menu is constructed in the theme’s javascript, it uses the desktop side panel to determine how to style that text. So, because the desktop side panel doesn’t exist, it has nothing to pull from, and defaults back to have light text.
Anyway, I’ve fixed this for the next update to the theme. However, since that may not get published for a bit, I’ve applied a fix directly your site from your theme options page. Go to Appearance > Theme Options > Styles > Custom CSS, and you can see the code that I put in there to fix the issue for you. After the next version of the theme is released down the road and you update, you can delete that code, if you want.
