I have two issues I am experiencing:

    1. I use a custom layout on the homepage – but the same custom layout is on the blog page, even though the blog is set to “Post List” and not the custom layout. Under the reading settings I have:
    Front page displays
    A static page (select below)
    Front page: Home
    Posts page: Blog

    2. I have two homepages listed in the header – I double checked the menu and the second homepage is not listed under menu. I have no way of removing this second homepage listing.

The URL I am working on is http://www.cjonesartgallery.com.

    Hello,

I’ll give you some quick solutions. If you’d like anything explained, just let me know, and I’d be happy to elaborate.

    1. Go to Appearance > Theme Options > Content > Homepage and select “posts” — You don’t need this setting with your setup to have a custom layout. Because you’re using a static frontpage, this setting is being applied to your “posts page” which WordPress considers the homepage, and thus any settings of the current page — title, meta data, page template, etc — all become irrelevant.

    2. You need to create a cusotm menu. Go to Appearance > Menus, create a custom menu and apply it to the “Primary Navigation” location. Here’s a video on this: http://www.jasonbobich.com/wordpress/wordpress-3-menus/
