    Hi –

I’m wondering if there is a way to add custom taxonomies to the post grid/list short code parameters or in the theme options.

    Thanks,

    Patrick

I believe you can do it by using the query parameter something like this:

    [post_list query="post_type=foo&your_taxonomy=bar"]

Okay, thanks. How about taxonomy terms as slugs? I’d like to use them the same way categories are defined in shortcodes for post lists and grids. Thanks again.

    Take another look here:

    [post_list query="post_type=foo&your_taxonomy=bar"]

So in this example “your_taxonomy” would be the ID of your taxonomy and “bar” would the slug of the term. I can’t think of any other way to accomplish what you’re asking.

Maybe a practical example would help:

    Post Type: book
    Taxonomy: author
    Term: orwell

    [post_list query="post_type=book&author=orwell"]
    [post_list query="post_type=book&author=shakespeare,orwell,rowling"]

Ahh, great, that makes sense. Thanks!
