Custom layout not showing

I plan to have a static front page with custom layout, but I can’t get it to work. When i am logged in as admin in wordpress the page looks like it should when i load it, but the second I log out it seems like it reverts to showing posts. I have no posts to show, so I only get “Apologies, but there are no posts to display”.

In theme options i have clicked the custom layout, and I use a layout that I made in builder (including a slider). I have deactivated all my plug-ins (except those who came with the theme). Every other change i have done in theme options seems to be there – background, buttons..etc. The only thing missing is the page layout.

Are you possibly using a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? What it sounds like is that you’re making edits with a caching plugin installed, but then not clearing the cache after making changes to your site.

Yepp, and i guess that was the problem.

I deactivated it (together with the rest of the plug-ins) when i ran into problems, but I did not clear the cache. After about 30 min (lunch) there was no problems.
