Category Tinymce 4.0 plugin

    Just installed the above and although it permits you to have an editor for categories, nothing appears at the top of a category listing after the editing. The plugin author states that:

    “I don’t know of any conflict with themeforests themes.
    You may need to check your template files to ensure that the category description is being called. Not all themes have it by default. Have a look in the archive file or category file for something similar to:
    echo category_description( $category_id );

    Any ideas appreciated.

    You are correct; the theme does not display category descriptions on archive pages. This would be a customization you’d need to make from your child theme.

    A quick way to do this would be to copy the function “alyeska_content_top” from /includes/theme-functions.php to your child theme’s functions.php because it is a pluggable function and it’s already hooked to show at the top of your archive pages. It currently is what displays the title for your archive pages.

    So, in there would be a good place to call echo category_description() if you wanted.
