Button Shortcode Fails with HTTPS

Using the shortcode generator to add some quick (and pretty) buttons seemed like a good idea until I noticed they ignore https:// URLs

    [button color="green" link="https://example.com/book-online/" icon_before="calendar" target="_self" block="true"]Check Availability[/button]

    This gets parsed as: http://example.com/book-online/

    Any help appreciated

    Hi Ross,

I can’t reproduce this behavior on my end. When I copy your shortcode into a page on my end, the https sticks just fine. Knowing how the shortcode is coded, I can’t really think of any way what you’re saying could be possible — off the top of my head, anyway.

Can you maybe link me to a specific example where you’re doing this so I can see the context of how the shortcode is used? What is this shortcode going into? The content of a page or post, or something else?

Hi Jason, it’s positioned in a 1/2 width column (also a shortcode), below some basic text, if nothing comes to mind, can I send you the URL privately?

So, it’s inside a column shortcode, but then what is all this being saved into? A page? A post? The Layout Builder maybe?

Yes, you can send private info here: http://support.themeblvd.com/submit-private-information/
