Any way to place titles or custom text on top of featured images?

Hi, I’m wondering if there is any way to place the post titles or custom text on top of the featured images in a post grid or list?

I love the new look of the Huffpost mobile app (see attached) and would like to recreate this on my wordpress site on desktop and mobile.

If not possible, this would be an awesome new setting to add.

Hello,

I apologize, but there’s just no feature in the theme that’s going to get you close to this. You’d have to come up with some way of doing this customization.

One approach could just be to edit content-grid.php/content-list.php from your Child theme, just do a custom job of displaying a featured image and post title, and style it from your custom CSS.
