    Hello,
Is it possible to add a dotted line to separate post excerpts in archive pages using custom css?

    Hello Andrew,

For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS” option on your theme options page.

In this case, I would use your inspector to determine the specific area you’d like the border placed beneath. Then, you could put some kind of bottom border, using the CSS border property. You could also add bottom padding to space the border from the inside of the element or bottom margin to add space to the outside of the border.
